Hi! I'm Ja'net Barchard-Smith. I'm a mom, doing my best to live a vibrant life while dealing with chronic illness and pain.
I use Yoga and mindful living to manage my pain with the support of my doctors, yoga teacher and health practitioners. I've found that it is important to feel empowered while managing one's health and important to realize what we can control and what is out of our control. I've done a lot of exploring over the past 20 years to manage my own back pain from a lumbar fracture and in the past 12 years I have also dealt with neurological conditions (Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia) that developed after a car accident. We all face challenges, whether you are dealing with life stress, an illness, pain, mental health struggles or change. Yoga is an invaluable tool to help you feel better, deal with life challenges more smoothly and help you create positive outcomes. This site is for sharing some of my mindful reflections, practices, and movement that will nourish and move you towards greater health.
